Market wide OI limit

A market-wide open interest limit is the maximum number of open positions allowed across the F&O contracts of the stock. The market-wide open interest limit is calculated by summing the open positions in the derivative of a stock.
These positions are required to be closed on expiry if not earlier. Open positions are not supposed to exceed the market-wide position limit as set by the exchange.
