Delivery Volume
Delivery volume is the amount of shares delivered to the buyer out of the total traded volume. In simple words, the delivery volume is that percentage of total trading volume which actually gets transferred from one account to another over the intraday.
For instance, A and B entered the trade. The transaction which happened is explained in the following two scenarios:
Scenario 1
A buys 100 shares and B sells 100 shares
Scenario 2
A sells 70 shares and B buys 70 shares
Delivery volume = 100-70 = 30.
In the above illustration, 30 is the delivery volume because it is the actual amount which got transferred. Here, the total trade volume is 100+70 = 170.
