I am a BSC IT graduate from India. Currently, I work as a Tech Analyst in Delhi. With the lockdown, we have been working from home since the last 50 days.
I have been trading manually since some time now and ever since the pandemic, I have started gaining more interest in the volatility in the stock markets and have been tracking it everyday till the markets close.
I was looking for a solution like algorithmic trading, as keeping a track of the markets manually is not as feasible. Keeping full control over positions is important, no sentiments can overplay your mind or you can place a wrong bet and lose in the chase. Thus, I wanted to keep my emotions at bay and so I was looking for a solution that can help me automate my trades. For this, there were 2 options - pay a dealer to do it for you or you learn and do it yourself. The choice was an easy one to make!
With Quantra, I've learned the Python basics. I was well versed with programming but that was long ago and now it's so much more evolved. Programming itself is such a vast field, it is being used in so many ways; software and application development, data analysis, and so much more. Because of this, I plan on going through the course again. It's a learning process that goes on forever and I'm glad Quantra gives lifetime access for their courses!
The course was no doubt good, the videos helped a lot, it's like you are in a classroom with the teachers teaching you. The MCQ’s are thought provoking, the answers may look simple at first glance, but once you start thinking, you know it is a very smart question, something that will stick in your head for long! Many brokers are giving APIs and so, I've already started creating accounts with all of them!
