Please help, guys
I could not find there a folder: "Importing data and data visualization".
or any other useful folders: "pandas", "Numpy" and others.
My jupyter notebook command produced me useless server (or whatever this is)
Although I was following the instructions exactly.
Hi Vladimir
Can you confirm whether you downloaded the ZIP file from the last section of the course?
Further, if you have done so, please extract that file and run the jupyter server from that folder to see all the relevant details.
Let us know if you need further clarification on this.
Hi, Rishabh
I am still doing Python primer, so there was nothing to download. In the primer they only say to activate quantra_py environment, and then type the "Jupyter notebook" command in the anaconda prompt. So, no mentioning of right downloads.
I assume that the quantra_py environment should have had all the right files and does not actually have them.
to be fair I have no idea how maneuvre (because no one have taught me yet) between files and Jupyter notebooks. since the primer can't me teach apparently, what else can I do?
Thank you
Hi Vladimir,
The quantra_py environment has all the necessary libraries and packages installed to run the notebooks on the portal. The notebooks and the other required files have to be downloaded separately. This has been mentioned in the Notebook Instructions section at the top in each notebook. You can navigate to the last section of the course and click on Python Code and Data as shown in the image below.
Download the zipped folder by clicking on the download icon.
Once you download the zipped folder, extract the files and run the jupyter server from that folder to see all the relevant notebooks/files.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Satyapriya
Satyapriya, hello and thank you
I have downloaded the zip file, extracted the files, but how do I "run the jupyter server from that folder"?
Primer course should be changed, updated to include these instructions. Readme file didn't contain anything useful for that matter. I have found couple of solutions on stackoverflow, but they are too complex and might not work.
how do I "run the jupyter server from that folder"? please, help.
Thank you
Hey Vladimir,
I believe that you are referring to the Python for Trading: Basic course. The step by step instructions to run the files in downloadable sections have been covered in detail. Please find it here. Following the steps, you should be able to run the notebooks.
If you still face any issues, you can write to us at quantra@quantinsti.com. We shall arrange for a call to resolve the query.
Thanks,
Satyapriya
