Hello there:
I am just starting in trading, I would like to know if whether the Hurst exponent applied to the volume of a stock would be useful … This is because of supply and demand issues, I mean, the price of a "low float" stock will likely increase if the volume is increased …
What do you think?? yes??, no ?? and why??
Thanks
The Hurst exponent can be applied to any time series. But how would you interpret the value of the Hurst exponent used on volume? Also, it is not necessary that with the increase of volume, the stock price will also increase. There were many instances when volume increased, but the price didn't.
