Hi, I had couple of questions around IBKR integration with blueshift.
- Firstly, is blueshift fully hosted and can I integrate with IKBR? Where i dont need to install anything on my local system and any strategy will send orders from blueshift to IBKR for execution?
- Can I access IBKR data as well in Blueshift? So Instead of only using blueshift data, post integrating with IBKR, will I be able to call for OHLCVOI data from IBKR?
- Does the integration support FnO as well?
Thanks for asking these questions -
- yes Blueshift is cloud-based and a fully hosted platform. For any brokers supported on the platform, you do not need to install anything locally (as nothing runs locally). If you select a broker and run a live execution, blueshift can send orders directly (if running under auto mode, else you will get notification to confirm before sending any order). 2) All live execution (including paper trading) source data directly from the broker (except Pipeline APIs, see here). 3) Broker Integrations usually support most assets offered by the broker, irrespective of if those data are available on Blueshift backtesting or not.
We are working to make interactive broker available soon on the platform and all points above will apply to it as well. Specifically onn point 3, it not very clear at this porint, but most probably we will be supporting FnO as well.
Thanks for the answers Prodipta. Couple of follow up questions.
- Any timeline to make IBKR live?
- Does blueshift charge any fees to send out orders in real time?
- Can I use the historical data I receive from Broker API into blueshift to run a backtest?
