Blueshift/Zipline application

Course Name: Mean Reversion Strategies In Python, Section No: 8, Unit No: 7, Unit type: Video

Hi there,

I noticed that the blueshift live trading examples are still based on zipline which based on my understanding is no longer being maintained. Can I know what implications this might have on the useage of blueshift and also whether there are plans to replace it?

Many thanks,

Ryan

I very much agree on your point. The live trading version on blueshift already uses in-house developed Python engine. We are also very soon going to completely replace zipline from backtesting with the in-house version. Also, towards the end of the year, we plan to make the in-house engine open source as well.

Thank you and looking forward to the new engine. Will you be updating the live trading sections of the courses based on the new in-house engine?

Many thanks,

Ryan

We will keep the API functions mostly unchanged (or similar), so I do not foresee much changes. Where required we will definitely add pointers!
