Hello:
I am just starting learning how to place order using Ibridgepy, and I noticed that a method is used to make reference to a ticker, for example if I want to make reference to Apple, the following is used:
superSymbol(secType='STK', symbol='FWBI', currency='USD', exchange='SMART', primaryExchange='NASDAQ')
Now, I wonder… What about the OTC Markets?? Is it possible to use the exact same method for stocks in the OTCs?? if so…what do I have to write in "primaryExchange"??
Thanks
Hi Ghery,
Interactive Brokers only trade products listed in exchanges, not OTCs. You can contact the Interactive Brokers sales team to know all the products they let you trade. You can go to this link to get in touch with their sales team.
Well… I contacted them and the only thing required to trade stocks in the otcs, is a trading permission…
A a matter of fact… I traded stocks in the otcs using my ibkr account… before even getting started to learn anything about algorithmic trading…
