I am looking for the paper “Understanding and Avoiding Adverse Selection in Dark Pools” by N. Saraiya and Hitesh Mittal, published 20 March 2010, but it cannot be retrieved at the below link.

Under the link

as the website states “No Paper Link Available”

How can I download the paper?

Hi,

Thank you for pointing it out. It seems that the website which hosted the research paper was acquired, and the link to the paper is broken now. An alternative website which hosts the paper is here: Understanding and Avoiding Adverse Selection in Dark Pools | Portfolio Management Research

Note that you will need institutional acces,s which includes a subscription or payment to read the paper.

Indeed, I noted the link to the alternative provider also, but it is a paid subscription. Is there any alternative/publicly available resource you can share that investigates how to assess adverse selection and hence the toxicity of dark pools, as it occurs to me this is an important topic for both retail and institutional traders.

Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no publicly available resource for the paper. You can look at the paper Sharks in the dark: Quantifying HFT dark pool latency arbitrage hosted here: Sharks in the dark: Quantifying HFT dark pool latency arbitrage - ScienceDirect
