Hello everyone,
I recently completed the EPAT program and am currently waiting for the results of the EPAT exam. I wanted to ask the community for some guidance on how to move forward from here.
During the course I learned the basics of Python and quantitative trading concepts. However, I’m still not a strong programmer and I don’t come from programming background, I have only completed my graduation in BBA. When working on projects, I usually end up depending on AI tools to write the code. I generally understand the structure and logic, but I often struggle to code it completely on my own.
My goal is to eventually secure a good quant role, so I wanted to ask:
• How should one ideally proceed after completing EPAT?
• Is relying on AI for coding while learning considered a bad practice, or is it acceptable as long as the concepts are understood?
• Apart from building projects, what other skills or areas should I focus on to improve my chances of getting into a quant role?
I would really appreciate any advice from those who have already been through this path.
Thank you!
