I am relatively new to quant trading in python, i'd like to know what maths are needed to perform in it and if some of you have resources to provide me for getting started.

Quant trading can be said as an amalgamation of finance, statistics, and mathematics. Mathematical concepts should be understood clearly if you want to create and backtest a sound and effective trading strategy. Some of these concepts include Probability theory and statistics, Linear algebra, Calculus, and Financial mathematics which include interest rate models, term structure models, and option pricing models.
Even numerical methods such as Monte Carlo simulations and finite difference methods are also present.
When it comes to resources, Quantra has many online courses, tutorials, and e-books available to help you gain the necessary skills.
