IBridgePy - RuntimeError

Hello,

I have been receiving the same error mentioned below,  for the last 3 days while trying to fetch historical data for a single stock symbol.
 
RuntimeError: IB server did not response to the request at all. Maybe the market is closed? Consider trying it later.

Is there a way around this?

There might be different reasons for that:

  1. You don't have a data subscription for the security that you are trying to fetch
  2. You might have input the wrong security definition. To solve this issue, you can check IB's official website, IB contract search and find the correct security information.
